- There are also countless books, pieces of academic literature, management consultants, support firms, etc. focused on large companies. We love to learn about our favorite household name firms and what makes them successful, and many of us have made a living finding ways to support and supply these companies.
- But companies in the middle are very different… they are past the excitement of the start-up phase but years of growth away being a household name. They have a myriad of operational needs and challenges but don’t have the cash or time to be supported from the firms that support large companies. And since they need to be flexible to “pivot” quickly, many large company systems would constrain them. And since so few companies make the successful transition from start-up to large company, Void Zone companies have few if any internal employees who have hands-on experience navigating into and through hyper-growth.
